This was another one of my two-part projects. The first part of the project was a series of drawings for design purposes. The second part was the coronet itself.

The coronet is built on a brass circlet with six prongs sticking out of it in equal distance from each other. The base of the circlet is pearls and silver beads that are woven into a band and then, with a padded velvet backing, stitched to incase the band.

The prongs are covered with woven garnets. Peridot twisted with silver wire forms the leaves of the tree and there is a large crystal on the top of the garnets, nestled in the branches.

In the end the coronet is too heavy to wear because the gauge of the brass is too thick. The coronet is damn near indestructible but quite weighty. It fits nicely though.
